BON SECOUR, Alabama -- Charlie Haney of Gulf Shores High School has been chosen DAR Good Citizen for 2012 by the Bon Secour Chapter DAR in Foley.

Charlie, his mother and sisters attended the February meeting at the Foley Public Library where he read the essay he had written on American Heritage.

He was presented with a Good Citizen pin, certificate and a monetary gift from the Bon Secour Chapter. Charlie plans to attend Auburn University, major in biomedical engineering and attend medical school.
