FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Impact 100 Baldwin County, a local women’s philanthropy group has kicked off its annual membership drive.
The group, established in 2008, is a non-profit organization comprised of women with a desire to make a difference in the lives of others and to make Baldwin County a better place to live. Membership is open to all women who embrace the same goals.
Each member must make an annual contribution of $1,000 to join the group. One hundred percent of the funds donated will go to a single, local charity through a grant selection process. Last year, the 82 members of Impact 100 awarded an $82,000 grant to Mary’s Shelter.
In an effort to reach its membership goal for 2009, Impact 100 will be hosting several informational gatherings throughout Baldwin County. To learn more about the group, women are invited to the following membership events:
March 2, 4-6 p.m., at the Fairhope Yacht Club.
March 10, 4:30-6 p.m., at the Magnolia Hotel in Foley.
