Local SCORE volunteer receives national honor

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Richard Huff, member of Baldwin County SCORE Chapter 630 was selected to receive the National SCORE Platinum Leadership award. Huff received his award during the quarterly chapter meeting held last month at Lulu’s in Gulf Shores.

“Over the years, Dick has worked with literally hundreds of local businesses assisting them with various aspects of business management and organization. He has been a strong leader in the local Baldwin SCORE chapter and played an instrumental role in the operations of Opelika, Alabama Chapter as well,” said Jack Kimsey, Baldwin SCORE chairman. “His tireless efforts have made a huge and lasting impact on our organization,” Kimsey added.

The Baldwin County SCORE chapter is one of 389 chapters nationwide. SCORE counselors are all business people (retired and working) from various disciplines who donate their time and talent to assist entrepreneurs with free and confidential business advice.
