Lois Cooper Carver of Josephine, age 88, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012.
Mrs. Carver, was born in Bay Minette, Sept. 8, 1923. She was an LPN for 10 years at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She was a member of Josephine Baptist Church, and in earlier years was a member of the WMU of the Southern Baptist Convention and a teacher in the Baptist Girls Auxiliary. Carver was preceded in death by her husband, Albert V. Carver; survived by four daughters, Lynn (Don) Garris, Christa (Guy) Smith, Teresa (Mike) Hutcherson, and Colleen (Jeff) Totsch; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A visitation is planned for Carver at Pine Rest Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, with the funeral service to follow in Pine Rest Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. Carver’s name to Covenant Nursing Care, Pat Place II, 1040 Stanton Road, Suite D, Daphne, AL 36526.
