John Calvin Love, 81, a native of Maben, Miss., and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 at a local nursing care facility.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church. He was a retired sales executive with Royal Oil Company.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mavis Love of Fairhope; two sons, Steve Love of Elberta and Ted Love of Destin, Fla.; grandchildren, Matt and Amy; bother, Homer Love; sister, Bernice Magee; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a memorial service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Fairhope United Methodist Church.
The family will have private burial services at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla., at a later date.
