Loxley crash claims life

LOXLEY, Ala. — According to the Alabama State Police, 23-year-old Randall Lee McKenzie of Foley lost his life in a single-car accident near Loxley at around 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 23. Another man, Kevin Davis, 23, of Fairhope, was Lifeflighted to the University of South Alabama Medical Center. Davis is said to have “non-life-threatening injuries.”

According to the report, Davis was the driver of the car.

State Troopers say McKenzie was the front seat passenger in a 2009 Chrysler Sebring traveling south on County Road 83 near County Road 62. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole. Neither man was wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
