Loxley Optimist Club to host Youth Fishing Rodeo

LOXLEY, Alabama — The Loxley Optimist Club will host its annual Youth Fishing Rodeo from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 4 at the Dean Black Pond in Loxley.

The rodeo is for boys and girls from the age of 13 and under. Admission is free. Participants must bring their own fishing gear. There will be limited bait available.

Awards and door prizes will be presented and lunch will be provided by the Optimist Club. Parents are encouraged to bring their childen for a day of fun and fishing. Last year's event drew a crowd of 75 young people.
