Loxley swears in new officers

LOXLEY — Loxley Police Department swore in three new police officers on Jan. 22. These officers were three of four hired in the last two months. Two of the four are veteran officers from other law enforcement agencies in Alabama and two will start the Police Academy in February.

Rob Laughery has been with the Loxley Police Department for five years as a communications officer.

Chris Crisler is a 25-year veteran from the Gadsden Police Department who has numerous certifications and commendations from his previous years of service. Crisler joins the Police Department with his canine officer partner Torac.

Michael Landewich is from Baldwin County and recently graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology.

Not participating in the swearing in ceremony was Ken Seagle from West Blocton Police Department, who had been with West Blocton for seven years before coming to Loxley.
