LOXLEY, Ala.
Third grade Loxley Elementary students in Ms. Kim Lee’s class enjoyed a hands-on math activity using counting blocks. The children were challenged to group 100 of the connecting blocks in a way that would make the blocks easy to count. In the process of grouping, the students reviewed counting by twos, fives and tens. They also learned about division and formulated division problems. This fun activity also introduced them to place value. The students had a lot of fun using their brains for this fun math activity.
