Lula Boyington Weekley, age 85, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Elsanor, AL passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012.
She loved to quilt, play bingo and take photographs of her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Weekley was preceded in death by son John Wilbur “Buddy” Wiggins, Sr., son-in-law, Donald Gibson and grandson, Freddie Gibson. Mrs. Weekley is survived by son, Tommy (Betty) Wiggins of Elsanor, AL, 3 daughters, Evelyn (Ken) Taylor of Atmore, AL, Malinda Gibson and Cindy (Al) Adkins both of Elsanor, AL, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Boyington Cemetery, Elsanor, AL. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation, 2951 Flowers Road, Suite 211, Atlanta, GA 30341.
