DAUHPIN ISLAND, Ala. - Lucy Buffett will be on hand to help cut the ribbon for Rays of the Bay, a 6,400-gallon touch tank that invites visitors to learn more about the rays and sharks that inhabit our waters.
“Rays of the Bay” is sponsored by LuLu’s at Homeport Restaurant and the Hearin-Chandler Foundation.
This geothermally-heated tank currently holds cownose rays and southern stingrays.
All are welcome as the Estuarium opens its first outdoor touch tank. The Dauphin Island Sea Lab and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation remain committed in its mission to educate our community about our natural resources in order to promote wise stewardship of our waters and coasts.
