Luticia Sue McCord Wallace, 81, a native of Loxley and a resident of Robertsdale, passed away Feb. 20, 2015.
Mrs. Wallace was an active member of Loxley First Baptist Church as long as she was able.
She was instrumental in the record keeping and writings for her Robertsdale High School Class of 1952. Loxley Community News was also written by her, as these articles were enjoyed by the subscribers and readers of The Independent newspaper.
She was an avid crossword puzzle worker, and she looked forward to entertaining and cooking for family and friends.
As a grandmother, she took care of and “kept” many of the grandchildren through the years.
A devoted and dedicated wife, Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her beloved Frankie; daughter, Becky Wallace; and two brothers, John McCord and Edward McCord.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Mike) Bill of Robertsdale, Lou (Dennis) Paulk of Peculiar, Mo. and Stacey Bain of Robertsdale; three sons, Tommy (Kathy) Wallace of Rosinton, Burr (Melinda) Wallace of Robertsdale and Bruce (Lynn) Wallace of Foley; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley, with Pastor Russ Murfin officiating.
A visitation will be held at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers include Ty Bill, Larry Wallace, Charlie Bill, Jack Dienethal, Caleb Dienethal and Bart Hyche.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Loxley First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 114, Loxley, AL 36551.
