FOLEY, Alabama. — Carol Joy MacDonald of Orange, Mass. and Seth Tyler Hollis of Foley were married Aug. 20, 2011 at the Orange Town Hall, built in the 1800s.
Dr. William MacDonald (grandfather of the bride) performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Victor and Laurie MacDonald of Orange. The groom is the son of Toby and Judy Hollis of Foley.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Hannah MacDonald (sister of the bride) as Maid of Honor. Sarah Plourd, of Amelia Court House, Va., attended as second Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Vashni Hollis (sister of groom) of Foley, Abigail Dart of Oakfield, N.Y., Scarlett Burnham of Bay Minette and Abigail Kocher of Concordville, Pa.
Flowers girls attending were Katie and Francesca Theriault of Orange.
The groom’s best man was Peter MacDonald.
Groomsmen included Daniel MacDonald, Nathan MacDonald, Matthew MacDonald and Vincent MacDonald, all brothers of the bride residing in Orange, and Devan Wiebe of Maynard, Mass.
Ringbearers were Adriel and Garrett Wiebe of Maynard, Mass.
Ushers were Jonathan Dart of Oakfield, N.Y. and Joel Wiebe of Maynard, Mass.
Musicians were Carissa Zapadenko and Alethia Zapadenko of Brooksville, Fla., playing hymns and classical pieces on violin and piano, respectively.
The reception was held at the Town Hall. The emcee was Victor Miller, of Erving, Mass., and entertainment was provided by the Hollis and MacDonald families.
The newlyweds reside in Orange, Mass., and will be joining the MacDonald Family Singers as they tour the United States.
