FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Local relator Hollie Woodard MacKellar was appointed to the Fairhope Planning Commission by Fairhope Mayor Tim Kant on Feb. 10. She fills the vacant seat of long-time Fairhope resident and real estate agent Fran Faust Slade who passed way in 2010.

MacKellar is a native of Fairhope and graduated from Fairhope High School in 1993. After leaving Fairhope, she attended Auburn University and received a degree in Communication Disorders in 1997, she became a flight attendant with Delta for seven years. Hollie traveled international and domestic trips, based in New York, Atlanta, and Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. After traveling the world she knew she wanted to raise her family in Fairhope. Hollie and her husband, Bryant,  have two children, Campbell (8) and Audrey Claire (4). She is currently employed as a real estate agent with Fairhope Realty Group.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to be on the Fairhope Planning Commission and look forward to serving the residents of Fairhope,” MacKeller said.

The planning commission meets on the first Monday of every month at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Fairhope Civic Center. The meetings are open to the public. For more information on the planning commission or to get involved, call Fairhope Planning Director Jonathan Smith at 251-928-8003.
