Madeline Northcutt Harris, 89, born in Mobile to Clarence Eugene and Adelaide Northcutt, died at her daughter’s Daphne residence on March 9, 2014.

Madeline graduated from Murphy High School and Providence School of Nursing as an RN.

For years she enjoyed acting, entertaining with her larger-than-life personality and living life to the fullest with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Secar Jackson Harris; and a sister, Grace Laws Rehm Noble.

She is survived by her sister, Claire Jones of Daphne; her children Grace Harris Ellis of Daphne, Dee Dee (Johnny) Avent of Fairhope and Michael (Karen) Harris of Milton, Fla.; stepson, Secar Jackson Harris; grandchildren, Morgan (Nick), Daniel (Stacy), Jenny (Darrel), Katie, Michael and John; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A special mass was said for Madeline by longtime friend Father Deacy Thursday at Christ the King in Daphne.

Donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
