Madie Troutman McMillan, age 103, a native of the Robinsonville community in Escambia County, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016.
She married John Murphy McMillan Sr. of Stockton, Ala., where they made their home prior to his death on June 24, 1990.
She was an active member of the community, with involvement in the Stockton Presbyterian Church, of which she was the oldest living member, and served the church in many capacities. Some of her other activities included Den Mother for Cub Scouts, PTA, Daughters of the American Revolution, member of the Baldwin County Library Board and Stockton Five Arts Club.
Mrs. McMillan was survived by three sons, John (Kathryn), Steve (Gayle) and Philip (Suella); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings and granddaughter, Adrienne McMillan Burns.
Graveside services will be held at Stockton Memorial Cemetery on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at 1 p.m., with a celebration of life service at Stockton Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m., followed by visitation in the church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to the John M. McMillan Sr. Scholarship Fund, Stockton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 438, Stockton, AL 36579.
