Madra Elizabeth Hammock, 91, a native of Franklin County and a resident of Robertsdale, died Saturday, July 23, 2011.
She retired from Monsanto in 1978. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Dr. B.E. McKinney, Copeland McKinney, Houston McKinney, Ethel Oliver and Elma Jean Hester.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Danny) Lanicek of Robertsdale; son, Tommy (Susan Stallworth) Hammock of Anderson; sister, Marie (Gurnia) Ogle of Muscle Shoals; five grandchildren, Wes Lanicek, Lindsey Lanicek, Tony Hammock, Michael Hammock and Vince Hammock; and seven great-grandchildren, Logan and Teagan Lanicek, Will and Madeline Hammock, A.J. and Brittany Hammock, and Kaley Hammock; sisters in-law, Helen McKinney of Red Bay and Elizabeth McKinney of Kentucky; and brother-law, Bert Hester of Vina.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 26 at Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, with funeral services at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale.
