MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Ala. — In keeping with our nation’s tradition, the town of Magnolia Springs celebrated Independence Day with food and fun.
Friday’s festivities kicked off at 11 a.m. with a Fourth of July Parade that traversed down Oak Street and ended at Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
The promenade included a variety of floats, antique vehicles and animals from the Magnolia Springs community. Plus, at least 20 veterans were honored among those entries. Organizers speculate that it could be the town’s largest Fourth of July Parade both in entries and spectators.
But the fun didn’t end there, At the MSVFD, firefighters and the Magnolia Springs Community Association hosted a free hot-dog lunch. The event included fresh-cut watermelon and children’s inflatables.
