MAGNOLIA SPRINGS — On Thursday deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Dykes Drive in Magnolia Springs. But when deputies arrived at the apartment, they could hear a fight taking place inside.

The deputies were able to break up the fight and detain 51-year-old Mark Allen Murray, 25-year-old Jessica Brandon and another adult male who was inside the apartment.

Deputies also saw items in plain view that were consistent with drug manufacturing and use. Investigators from the Baldwin County Drug Task Force responded and conducted an investigation. Investigators located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine oil and finished methamphetamine. Also located, were items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Murray was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, using false identification to obstruct justice, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana in the second degree and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

“Murray is currently in the Sheriff’s Corrections Center on a bond over $1 million,” said Lt. Clint Cadenhead of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force, who hadded that Murray has a drug history in Alabama and Georgia.

Brandon was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of controlled substance.

“Brandon is currently in the Sheriff’s Corrections Center on a bond over $1 million,” Cadenhead said, adding that she does not appear to have a known drug history.
