FAIRHOPE – Police arrested Deshun Terrell Banks on Wednesday on charges that he broke into a series of vehicles in the last week.

Banks, 41, of Fairhope was charged with nine counts of breaking and entering of a vehicle. Officers charged Banks after looking at a surveillance video of one of the burglaries, according to a Fairhope police statement.

Twelve vehicles were reported to have been broken into since Friday, Aug. 21. Two pistols were taken during the burglaries. Both handguns were found during Banks’ arrest, the statement said.

Police said additional charges may be added as the investigation continues.
