FOLEY — A Little Rock Road resident is in the Baldwin County Corrections Center charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed another man at least 10 times in the torso and arms.

Jonas Guerrero Flores, 27, was arrested by Foley police after a five hour manhunt near the intersection of Baldwin County roads 24 and 65, according to a press release issued by the Foley Police Department on Aug. 31.

On the day of the release, Foley police received a call at approximately 2 a.m. concerning a possible stabbing outside a residence in the Marquis Trailer Court on Little Rock Road. When officers arrived they found Martin Valle on the ground near his residence. The victim had been stabbed at least 10 times.

Valle was taken to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center and later flown to the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. Valle's age is unknown.

Flores had fled the scene on foot, the release said. At approximately 7 a.m., Foley Police Officer Kevin Carnley located Flores, who was in possession of what the release describes as a "kitchen filet knife." Police believe the knife is the one used in the stabbing incident.

Flores was transported to the Foley Justice Center where he confessed to the stabbing and was charged with attempted murder. He was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Center on Sept. 1. His bond is set at $500,000, according to a Corrections Center spokesman.

Valle remains in intensive care at USA Medical Center as of Tuesday. His condition is listed as serious, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
