Gerald “Dean” Mannschreck, 80, of Foley, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in Pensacola, Fla.
He retired from the Hoover Company after 25 years and relocated to the Gulf Shores area, where he worked in real estate and development.
He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Robertsdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn Mannschreck and Jessie Tichneor Mannschreck-Cottrell, and a brother, Arlin E. Mannschreck of Topeka, Kan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Kay L. Macklin Mannschreck of Foley; two daughters, Cora (Greg) Koontz of Ashville and Sandra K. Mannschreck of Gulf Shores; two sons, Gary D. Mannschreck of Gulf Shores of Gulf Shores and Ron A. Mannschreck of Brookside; one granddaughter, Sandra L. Koontz of Montgomery; and one grandson, James C. Koontz of Montgomery.
Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Community of Christ Church in Robertsdale with Elder Denise Nims officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
