Margaret Hill, 93, of Hattiesburg, Miss., died April 28, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital. Services were May 2, at Central Baptist Church followed by burial in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill was born to Ethel Lee and Edward J. Davis and was raised by Ben and Lena Linn. She graduated from Southern and was a bookkeeper and secretary for Oden Construction Co. and a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cluade Hampton Hill; her parents; sisters, Winifred McMillin, Josie Sledge, Maggie Daniels and Maude Ethel Hart; and brothers, Ed Linn and Harry Linn.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Phil Carroll, Gulf Shores; grandson, Johnny Turner McElroy II and his wife, Lori, Gulf Shores; great-grandson, John Turner McElroy III; a niece, Anne McMillin, Huntsville; nephew, Johnny (Sylvia) McMillin, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and cousins, Linn (Dot) Hart, Canton, Pam Noble, Madison, Lena Lou (Nonnie) Thomas, Atlanta, Tommy Linn, Denver, And Pat Linn, Nashville Tenn.
