Margaret Joan Frank, best known as “Joan,” 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Fairhope after a brief time in hospice care.
She was born and educated in Schenectady, N.Y., and graduated from LaSalle Junior College in Massachusetts.
She enjoyed a professional career at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, where she met and married John N. Frank, her husband of 55 years.
Their marriage was blessed with three children, Lisa LaTourette of Scottsdale, Ariz., Margo Scanlon of Ballwin, Mo. and John Frank, also of Fairhope. Joan’s only sibling, a brother, Don Morris, resides in Bristol, Vt. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Katy, Danny, Alayna, Alyssa and Alexa.
Joan’s lifelong love of art followed her to Fairhope, where she attended classes at the Bay Rivers Art Guild, and it was also there where she enjoyed many friendships.
