Margaret Nicholas Buchanan, 89, a resident of Fairhope, died Friday, April 8, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buchanan; a daughter, Betty Curtis; and a niece, Marie Wilson.
Survivors include five daughters, Theodora Adams of Long Beach, Calif., Marilyn Harris of Selma, Theresa Allen of Daphne, Grenda Johnson of Fairhope and Esther Buchanan of Daphne; seven sons, Charles, Clarence, Leslie, Ronald, William and Waymond Buchanan, all of Fairhope, Thaddeus Buchanan of Saraland; 58 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives; her devoted friend, Alice Coleman and other friends.
Visitation begins at noon with Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
