Margaret Pauline Sutherland Koster, born Dec. 25,1916 in Kentucky passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at a local health care facility.
She was a founding member of Providence United Methodist Church where she was active and sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and tag sales. She also served in World War II as a WAC. Koster is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Koster. She is survived by two sons, Gregory (Diana) Koster of Eastchester, N.Y. and Richard (Carol) Koster of Mandeville, La.; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Payne of Kingwood, Texas; three grandchildren, Katharine, Christian and Michael Koster. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Sweet officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Providence United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.
