Saturday, almost 200 motorcyclists from the South Alabama and Northwest Florida joined the efforts of local fundraisers to raise $6,000 for Honor Flight South Alabama (www.honorflightsa.com).

Honor Flight South Alabama will provide airfare and escort 80 World War II veterans to Washington D.C., on an inaugural Flight on May 6 to see their memorial.

Many businesses and organizations donated toward this fundraising event including CoolEzLeather in Foley, Members of the Gulf Coast Patriot Guard (www.gcpg.org), H&D Cycles in Lillian, Daphne Hooters, Leather Hut, Col. Glenn Frazier, Harley Davidson Shops in Daphne and Pensacola and many others.

Each contribution, small or large, collectively contributed to this awesome effort to honor our past Patriots of Freedom.

Media groups including Channel Fox10, Mobile Press Register, Fairhope Courier and others assisted the coverage and community notification that also made a significant turnout by patrons and participants.

On behalf of the volunteers of the Honor Flight South Alabama Poker Run, please accept a wholehearted “Thank You” for a successful and enjoyable fundraiser!
