Maria J. Hall, age 71, born in Sevilla, Spain and a resident of Fairhope, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at her residence.
She was a switch board operator on the military base in Spain. She is survived by her children, Eva Hall (Russell) Burgess of Silverhill; Charlene (Paul Smith) Hall of Spanish Fort, and Jody Arnold Hall of Tulsa, Okla; one brother, Pepe Duarez of Sevilla, Spain and one sister, Pepi Duarez of Sevilla, Spain; ten grandchildren, Candace Deschaine Valverda, Tiffany Deschaine, Anna Forman, Chad Pritchett, Brittany Pritchett, Hali Hall Hadley, Shana Hall, Skylar Hall and Jordyn Hall and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arnold Hall and a sister, Luisa Duarez. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Guy’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Edwards and Sister Thursia Long officiating. Burial will follow at Guy’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Guy’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Chad Pritchett, Michael Smith, Quinn Middleton, Mark Williams and Jim Byrd. Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
