Marijuana and methamphetamine facility shut down in Robertsdale

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — According to a release from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, a marijuana and methamphetamine operation was shut down in Robertsdale Friday, Oct. 30.

According to the release, members from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Robertsdale Police Department executed a search warrant at 18880 Hammond St., the home of Richard and Tonya Estill.

Investigators say they found marijuana growing at the site, and evidence of methamphetamine production. They also recovered two firearms that they believed to be stolen.

Two arrests were made. Richard Leshawn Estill, 32, faces charges that include first-degree drug manufacturing, possession of a controlled substance, and being a person in possession of a firearm who is prohibited from having one. He is being held at the Baldwin County Correctional Facility for more than $33,000 in bond money.

Kenneth DeWitt Gray, 19, of 20887 County Road 36 in Summerdale, is charged with drug manufacturing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. Gray is in the Baldwin County Correctional Facility on a $31,000 bond.
