Mark your calendars for annual Angel Ride
FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Rileigh and Raylee Angel Ride and Concert will be take place Nov. 6 and 7 at Oak Hollow Farm, south of Fairhope.
This is the eighth annual Angel Ride and Concert, and it is considered to be one of the premier events in the Southeast.
Last year, Angel Ride had more than 2,500 bikers participate, along with a record crowd of at least 10,000 spectators throughout the weekend.
The opening entertainment for Friday will be “Louisiana’s Rockin’ Fiddler,” Waylon Thibodeaux. Featured entertainer will be American country music artist Chuck Wicks.
Wicks has appeared alongside girlfriend Julianne Hough on “Dancing with the Stars.”
On Saturday, Todd Simpson, a young, exciting guitarist and singer from the Birmingham area will perform.
With their unique style and sound, Confederate Railroad will open that night for The Charlie Daniels Band. Daniels is part Western and part Southern.
He is known for his signature “bullrider” hat and belt buckle, and recognized for playing everything from rock to jazz, folk to Western swing and honky-tonk to award-winning gospel.
In 2008, Daniels’ lifelong dream became a reality. He was inducted as a full-fledged member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Throughout the two-day event, there will be many activities at Oak Hollow Farm. The public is invited to come out and enjoy the music, the third annual bike show, a silent auction, great food and an opportunity to visit the various vendor’s booths.
Camping is available.
The weekend is the big fundraiser for the foundation. Through this event the organization has distributed over $600,000 to families of children with medical needs not covered through insurance.
