Kimberly Markestyn, 38, a longtime resident of Fairhope and a resident of Tavares, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 her home.
She was a very creative person; a loving wife, mother, daughter, and granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank “Chip” Barber III
Survivors include her husband, John Markesteyn of Tavares, Fla.; three children, Austin, Cody and Erin Jennings of Fairhope; four step-children; her mother and step-father, Connie Shull Baker and Denton Baker of Naples, Fla.; grandmother, Doris L. Shull of Fairhope; brother, Lance Barber of Sanford, N.C.; two sisters, Stephanie Barber of Orlando, Fla., and Amy Baumgarten of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 19 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope. Burial will follow at Fairhope Memory Gardens.
