Marlene Yvonne Green Stewart, 60, a native of Ipswich, Suffolk, England and a resident of Robertsdale, ended her earthly journey on Friday, April 25, 2014.
She was a military spouse and an army mother, her boys and grandson were her world and family was everything to her.
She was a well-rounded social butterfly who never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Raymond and Florence Elizabeth Green; and her brother, George Green.
She is survived by James W. Stewart Jr. of Robertsdale, three sons, Daniel (Elena) Stewart of Mobile, David Stewart of Robertsdale and Matthew A. (Jessica) Stewart of Milton, Fla.; a brother, John Green of Ipswich, England; five sisters, Pat Cates of Ipswich, England, Barbara Smith of Iowa, Ann Bateman of Iowa, Dawn Dugdale, of Norwich, England and Dottie (Pat) Heck of Iowa; and a grandson, Matthew James Stewart of Milton, Fla.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be held Friday, May 2, 2014, at 2 p.m., from Loxley Church of God, with the Rev. Herman Knapp officiating.
There will be a visitation at Loxley Church of God on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m.
