Martha Marian Morgan Canning was born on May 15, 1933 and was called to her heavenly home on Feb. 25, 2013.
She was the daughter of Herbert and Essie Morgan of Clyo, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; one nephew; and one great-grandson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Canning Sr.; son, Charles (Patricia) Canning Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffany Canning, Charlee (Stephen) Mitchell, and Miga (Todd) Batten; three great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Morgan; special niece, Sandra (Gary) Gorman; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces, and great-nephews. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Silverhill, with the visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley. The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. Canning’s name to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 15875 4th Avenue, Silverhill, AL.
