Mary Alice Driskell, 91, born in Wabash County, Ind. and a resident of Foley, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014.
She was a bus driver and teacher in the Baldwin County Public School System for many years.
She was a cook at Country Cookin,’ hostess at Cracker Barrel in Foley, member of the Red Hat Society, Women’s Auxillary and a well-known member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Driskell is survived by a daughter, Joanie and her husband Michael Whitehead of Dallas, Texas; a son, John and his wife Donna Driskell of Elberta; a sister, Flossie Calloway of Bon Secour; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, from 6-8 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at 10 a.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley.
Interment will be in Pleasantview Baptist Church Cemetery.
