Mary Frances (Bailey) Breidenich, died Sept. 21, 2012 in Port Huron Michigan at the age of 74.
Mary was born Feb.y 18, 1938 to the late Adelaide (Carey) and Joseph Bailey. She married Richard Breidenich on Feb. 9, 1963. She graduated from Dominican High School in Detroit, and received her Bachelor’s degree from Sienna Heights University in Adrian. She later earned a Masters in Reading Education and spent her career as a social worker and teacher in Detroit area and Port Huron School districts. Mary was a devout Catholic who dedicated much of her time and energy throughout her life to helping others, including serving as a first responder with the American Red Cross supporting rescue and relief efforts in New York City after 9-11. Warm and funny, Mary would always be the first to strike up a conversation with a stranger, make a joke to get someone to smile, and was the most loyal and giving of friends. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Clare and Kristen; sister, Ann Michaeleen Savard, and cousins Judy Engler and Marion Reed. Visitation will be from 2-9 on Tuesday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington,with Rosary Devotions at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington, with visiting at the church from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday. Fr. Robert P.
