Mary Helen Hataway
(Oct. 4, 1916-July 28, 2015)
Mary Hataway, a native of Buckatunna, Miss. and a resident of Fairhope for 60 years, died Tuesday evening at her daughter’s home in Fairhope. She was 98 years old.
Mary was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Macon Hataway of Fairhope; and her daughters, Elaine Margetjak and Bonnie Bishop.
She is survived by four daughters, Bobbie Grosskopf of Foley, Ala., Mary Etta (Arthur) Word, of Fairhope, Ala., Faye Hataway of Loxley, Ala., Brenda (Wes) Agresta of Plainfield, Ill.; and one son, Larry Hataway, of Avon, Ind.
Mary leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
