Mary Jane Cooper (Viola) born Sept. 23, 1951 to the late Virgina Carvin and Less Knight. She was called home on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Ms Cooper was a devouted servant for the Lord. She enjoyed diligently in her church where she served as the president of the Pastors Aide Committee. She was not only a loving and devoted mother, sisiter and friend, but found it necessary to be concerned for the community and therfore organized and reinitiated the May Day event. She was retired form Vanity Fair in Robertsdale. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Carvin; her father, Less Knight; sister, Leslie Mae Scott; brothers, James Allen Carvin and LArry Knight; three children, Arlisa Carvin, Spencer Hatchett, and Karneil McGaster. She leaves to cherish, one daughter, Bernadette Paige; six grandchildren,Derrick Young, Cordarrel McGaster, Dre'shon McGaster, Dre'Shonna McGaster, Teneshia Hackett and Elize Hackett; one great-grandson, Treyunne McGaster; four brothers, Robert English, Louis Carvin, Walterr (rose) Carvin and Carl Henton; four sisters, Penny(Rev. Charlie) Woodard, Deborah (John) Minor, Anita Stallworth and Linda Henton; one great aunt, Mary Ankom of Uriah; one uncle, S. B. Knight. She will significantly miss by cousins, friends and god children.visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Fellowship Church of God in Christ, 17535 Little Rock Road, Foley, with services at 1 p.m., by pastor, Elwanda Powell.
