Mary Jo Palmer Schwaiger passed into the arms of Jesus on March 24, 2018.
Mary Jo was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 20, 1937. She grew up in Pentwater, Michigan, graduating high school there. Mary Jo continued her education at Michigan State University from 1955-1957.
She lived for over 30 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband, Dr. Richard Schwaiger. Just a few of the many jobs and interests she had in those days: bank teller, public relations for United Electronics Group, employment counselor, working in her husband's chiropractic office and owner of Mary Jo's Wig Salon.
Once retired in the mid-1990s, they moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Mary Jo was very active in the community and was the president of the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
For the past 14 years, she worked at Dr. Lyle Cooper's office in Gulf Shores.
Mary Jo is survived by her sons, Craig Clark (Florida) and Chris Clark (Florida), his wife, Kristie, children, Hannah and Mason.
Mary Jo had many friends throughout the country and at Gulf Breeze RV Park where she lived. She spread sunshine and happiness each and every day to everyone she met. Mary Jo was loved by many and will be missed.
