Mary Lain Maxey Farnell, 89, a native of New Albany, Ind., and a resident of Fairhope, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011.
She was a member of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Claude Farnell Jr.
Survivors include a son, William C. “Bill” (Loressa) Farnell III of Fairhope; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Davis, Melissa (James T.) Brown, all of Opelika, Timothy Thompson of Daphne, Stacy (Kevin) Prewitt of Dallas, David Farnell of Daphne; 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 15 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 929, Fairhope, AL 36533.
