Mary Lee Bowles, 76, former resident of Montgomery and a resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Daphne.
She had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Montgomery. She and her husband, Truman, moved to Fairhope in September of 1998 and were members of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope.
She was the best friend of her husband, her daughter and son-in-law and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Timothy Warren Bowles.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Truman Bowles; daughter, Deborah B. (Mike) Peters of Daphne; brother, Glynn (Linda) McCall of Jacksonville, Fla., and two grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Peters of Birmingham and Lisa (Chris) Edmunds of Atlanta; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery with the Rev. John Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairhope, 300 S. Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532.
