Master Gardener to talk vegetables Feb. 22 at the Daphne library

DAPHNE, Ala. — Master Gardener Marilyn Mannhard will present “Vegetable Gardening in Baldwin County” at the Daphne Public Library on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.

She will discuss which vegetables grow best locally and when and how to plant them. 

Her presentation will include raised beds and container gardening. 

A native of Fairhope and a retired Baldwin County educator, Mannhard lives and gardens in Silverhill. She is a certified master gardener and will be an instructor in the master gardeners’ spring workshops in March.

The public is invited to hear Mannhard speak in the conference room of the Daphne Public Library. The library is at the corner of U. S. Highway 98 and Whispering Pines Road.  Refreshments will be provided by Friends of Daphne Public Library.
