Maurice W. Blackmon, born June 15, 1939, to Ina and Kermit Blackmon, passed away Jan. 15, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
He was preceded by his parents, an infant brother, and Dennis Glen Blackmon who was lost in the Vietnam War.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Nancy Blackmon; son, Brad (April) Blackmon; three stepchildren, Donna (Kevin) Evans, Rob (Merle) Davis, and Lynn (Louie) Golfos. Maurice leaves 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way, one beloved aunt, Jeri Pumphrey, and many loving cousins.
Maurice graduated from Foley High School is 1957 and earned a Business Administartation degree from Auburn University. Maurice also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Maurice was an avid reader and loved history. He enjoyed visiting Disney World with his family.
Pall Bearers include Louie Golfos, Kevin Evans, Justin Godwin, Adam Davis, Colton Davis, Drew Golfos and Christian Blackmon.
