Max Childress, age 71, a resident of Loxley, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2015.
Mr. Childress was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Louise Childress; brothers and sisters, Billie Childress, Rex Childress, Shirley Sturma and Tex Childress; and is survived by his wife, Patricia Childress of Loxley, Ala.; two daughters, Karen (Teri) Lowery of Elsanor, Ala. and Starr (David) LaCourse of Loxley, Ala.; one sister, Brenda Harper of Robertsdale, Ala.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home chapel, with burial in New Cooper Cemetery.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baldwin County Academic and Sports Foundation.
