Maxine Greif Klein, 84, passed away, Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014. She was a longtime resident of Pensacola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome F. Klein; her parents, Max Arnold and Mary Bergman Greif; her twin sons, Richard William and Robert Eugene; and her brothers, Eugene and Richard.

She is survived by four children, Mary Elizabeth (Aaron), Michael Alan, Mark Edward and Max William; a granddaughter, Brittany Klein Burson (John); and great-grandson, Jackson Cooper.

Maxine was born in Glen Elder, Kansas, graduated St. John Hospital School of Nursing in Salina, Kansas and worked in various roles as a nurse since 1950.

She later retired after 27 years from the Escambia County School System as a health education instructor at Beggs Education Center and school nurse at Holmes Elementary School.

She was a faithful parishioner at St. Mary’s in Pensacola. She lived life to the fullest, had a huge capacity to love and be loved and was devoted to her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne. The rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., and the family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Celebrant of the mass will be Fr. Matthew J. O’Connor.

Interment will be in Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
