Maxine Story Blalock, 78, of Stockton, answered the master’s call on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
She was a native of Fayette County and a resident of Stockton for more than 10 years.
She attended school in Fayette County, and was a retired dietitian at Fayette County Hospital in Fayette.
In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, shopping and singing.
Those who await her in heaven as her husband, Thomas Blalock; a son, James Blalock; her parents, Jabe and Mexcie T. Story; a sister, Rosie Nalls; and three brothers, Ulysses Jones, Amos Hawkins and Charlie Cochran.
Those left to embrace her life in memory are a daughter, Mary Blalock-Hardeman of Detroit, Mich.; a son, Vincent Blalock of Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Jettie Pearl Harton of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Triumph Holiness Church in Stockton, with the Rev. Theron Hawkins Sr. officiating.
Retirement of her remains will be in Robinson Cemetery in Stockton.
