FAIRHOPE, Ala. – Mayor Tim Kant will give this year’s State of the City address on Sunday, March 27.
The program will last about one hour and participants will have a chance to ask questions at the end of the program.
“This is a great opportunity for citizens of Fairhope to come and see all that we have accomplished in the past year and look ahead to new goals and projects in Fairhope’s future,” Mayor Tim Kant stated in a city news release. “This is also a day where we recognize a Quality of Life recipient, a special individual who has spent countless volunteer hours making Fairhope a wonderful place to live.”
The civic group Fairhope First, which is hosting the event, will present Lori DuBose, a longtime Fairhope resident and local voice of WABF 1220 AM, with the 2011 Quality of Life award, according to the release.
WABF 1220 will broadcast the address live.
Light refreshments will be served following the program, and the Fairhope High School Jazz Band will provide entertainment before the program.
The State of the City address will begin at 2 p.m. at the Fairhope Civic Center. For more information, call 990-0218 or 929-1466.
