Philip and Sarah McIntosh of Metropolis, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Michelle McIntosh, to Tyler Preston Niemeyer, the son of Michael and Staci Niemeyer of Fairhope.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Massac County High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a bachelors degree in nursing.
She works at Providence Hospital in Mobile as a surgical ICU nurse.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Fairhope High School, attended the University of Mississippi, and attends the University of South Alabama.
The couple will exchange vows at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 2, 2009 at Casa Ybel Resort, Sanibel Island, Fla.
