Sarah Alexandria McLean, born July 11, 1986 in Stuttgart, Germany, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 in Pensacola, Fla., where she lived while attending the University of West Florida.
A military BRAT, she lived in Germany, Italy, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, Kansas and Gulf Shores. She graduated from Ramstein American High School, Ramstein Germany in June 2004. She attended Boston University, 2004-2005 and then moved home to Gulf Shores to be closer to family and her sisters.
She completed her Associates Degree at Pensacola Junior College in 2007 and was attending University of West Florida where she was majoring in communications, with an emphasis on television and radio broadcasting. She was a serving a public relations internship with the Escambia County Council on Aging.
Survivors include her mother and father, the Rev. and Mrs. David McLean of Gulf Shores; four sisters, April McLean (Alan) Milby of North Richland Hills, Texas, Kellie (Sid) Herrod of Deatsville, Amy (Brian) Castleberry of Montgomery, Alabama and Holly Elam of Crawfordville, Fla.; seven nieces and nephews, Sydney and Kyle Herrod, Kaitlyn and Allison Castleberry and Payton, Cole and Cameron Alexander Milby.
She was a blessing from God and will always be remembered for the love and caring she showed to others.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church. Private graveside services and burial will be held Monday, Feb. 11 at Barancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, 1712 Broad St., Selma, AL 36701.
