Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack announced recently that the Memorial Brick Project for law enforcement officers was open again.
“This is a great day, the memorial brick project is open,” said Mack, explaining that anyone wishing to honor a law enforcement officer or place a brick in memory of a law enforcement office may do so by calling 239-4303 or 259-4302.
As of now, the bricks are being placed around the memorial behind the Sheriffs office just off of Highway 59 in Robertsdale.
The bricks are $50 each, and the inscription may have three lines of 15 characters and spaces per line.
“Any municipal, county, state, or federal law enforcement officer, probation officer, corrections officer, state trooper, marine police, game warden, judicial officer, US Marshal, FBI agent, etc. is encouraged to purchase and donate an engraved brick to be placed on the sidewalk or other appropriate site at the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial,” reads a Sheriffs office press release.
The release adds that all inscriptions “must be related to positive comments about law enforcement or recognizing someone presently serving or has served in law enforcement or the judiciary.”
