Merlin Edward "Jack" Miller, April 29, 1929 - March 26, 2018, fondly referred to by his mother as "Happy Jack," was the son of Nellie G Dawdy and Wesley Miller, both preceding him in death.
Jack loved the Navy and the friends he made along the way, many of those honorable men and women also preceding him in death.
He was a "fixer" of most things broken and owned more tools than a hardware store.
He was also preceded by his wife, Lilas Mary Hammock Miller (04/28/1927 - 10/26/1988); his wife, Mary "Bunny" Jones Miller (01/11/1932 - 08/03/2016); four brothers, Joseph, Dick, Dennis and Curtis; and three sisters, Aleita, Orvetta and Rosa.
Jack is survived by his only son, Christopher Todd Miller and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Miller of Chicago, Illinois; his in-laws, who he loved dearly, Richard Hammock of California, Phyllis Miller of Iowa, James (Jim) and Beverly Kellen of Fairhope, Alabama; Paul and Lanette Jones of Stockton, Alabama; Mike and Jan Gallegos of Daphne, Alabama; Kim and Joy Van Wieren of Friendswood, Texas; Hal Jones of Coleman, Michigan; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
May he rest in peace.
Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Highway 59, Robertsdale, Alabama.
